2011 Summer Employment Opportunities at Serve!

We will be hiring some summer staff (for 10 week contracts) for our summer programs.

Positions: 

• Team Leader, Serve up the Summer program (up to 2 positions in Malvern community and up to 2 positions in Flemingdon Park community)

• A Program Assistant for Serve up the Summer program in Malvern and also in Flemingdon Park (must be full-time student returning to school full-time in fall 2011 for Assistant position)

• Team Facilitator, Making It Work program (1 position)--Toronto (primarily downtown & surrounding area)

Youth outreach and recruitment has started for the 2011 Step Up March Break program in the Flemingdon Park/Thorncliffe Park area

The program is for youth 13 to 16 years old who live in the Flemingdon Park area and who are interested and able to commit to a 5-day experiential learning program over March Break.  Youth participants will participate in games, teamwork activities, educational workshops, and will also gain some volunteer hours through service activities in the community.

Please register as soon as possible (and before the March 9th info session).   Space is limited so register now!

The 4th annual Serve! Uncorked was a huge success and clearly lived up to its reputation as a fabulous wine auction and tasting event. We experienced our best fundraising results to date, ($51,500 net). The wine tasting was “Le Tour de France” lead by Serge Janjic an internationally experienced wine educator, consultant and entrepreneur.
