At first I was nervous to start the program, because I didn’t know anyone and didn’t know what it would look like and also did not think I will go 2 weeks into the program. This program has taught me a lot I did not know and I have also benefited a lot in many ways-- for example,  LIFE SKILLS.  I have learned a lot these past 30days, waking up early, going to the garden and learning about plants, learning how to talk to people and also communicating with people, teaching us how to spend our money(budgeting),how to care for old folks and also job skills.

These are things I did not know and I learned in just 30 days in the program. This program has changed me by the way I look at a lot of things after I learned about them; I made smart goals with family. It has changed me to the extent that I teach my family and friends most of the things I learn from the  workshops and gardens.

Quotes From Participants

Serve!, for me, was a unique learning and growing experience. It provided me with opportunities to grow as an individual, but also empowered me to share my skills with others, and really opened my eyes to what a community is, and the benefits of being involved with one's community. It has left me with unforgettable memories and friends.
