Serve! Gives a Boost For Youth
A new initiative from Serve! trains youth workers to support equity, diversity and positive relationships
A full-time six month program for youth between 17 and 24 years of age. Youth undertake projects within the community, work on life and job skills, and receive a living stipend.
I was a part of the Serve! Making It Work program. Although the days were often filled with challenges and hot weather, I enjoyed every single one of those 6 weeks. At first, I just went about doing what was required of me but soon I began to realize that I had created this close bond with so many of the other team members. We had gone through many challenges and pretty much every day together. The experience was fun.
